Happy Mother’s Day!
It’s Mother’s Day and one of our favorite songs lately has been “Unsung Hero” by For King & Country, an Australian Christian duo. The group, composed of two brothers dedicated “Unsung Hero” to their parents for the sacrifices they made in moving from Australia to the United States and molding them into the men they are now.
They shared in an interview with Billboard that their father used to work as a tour promoter in Australia who went into financial ruin over a tour gone wrong and decided to move to the United States at age 40 with his family of six children at the time.
Here’s the chorus to “Unsung Hero”:
Words fall short but I am sure
There’ll never be
Anyone like you, you’re
You’re strong like your father
Even when you are scared
When I was in trouble
You never left me there
And you love like your mother
Like there’s nothing to lose
You’re an unsung hero
So I’ll sing this song for you
Let’s be sure to honor the parents in our lives (mothers and fathers) for the sacrifices they’ve made and the great blessing they are to their children.
If you’re not familiar with the song you can listen to the Official Music Video here.
If you’re parents are still alive tell them Thank You. Tell them you Love them. Make sure they’re 2nd Half is good. You know they sacrificed much of their 1st half for you!
