January is the perfect time to self-reflect and focus on a few areas where you can improve your life.
One of my goals for the year is to start running again. In 2016 I had to redo some of my life insurance and when I look back at the insurance physical it shows my weight. I would like to have that number back! I stopped running soon after that. Shouldn’t have done that! Although Angela and I walk regularly, walking doesn’t do the same thing for me that running does. My goal (and I’ve started) is to get back to a minimum of 10 miles per week. Don’t hesitate to ask next time you see me how I’m doing :-).
Too many times we can emotionally beat ourselves up over setting goals and not keeping them. We get discouraged and frustrated and aren’t able to find the motivation to really make improvements. That’s not necessary or healthy!
Here’s a great resource I’ve found helpful. It covers five areas on making changes and improving your life.
Focus on Improving These 5 Areas.
For most of us just making some little tweaks in our life will lead to vast improvements. You’ll feel better, act better, have more confidence AND you’ll be able to give more to others. Take time now to figure out what those changes are for you. Need some encouragement? Call me. I’m happy to help.
