Thanks to many of you for your patience over the last 10 days while I’ve been out of the office. We’ve enjoyed a high school graduation, Disney and the beach.
John graduated from Colorado Springs Christian and is moving on to new opportunities. He’s been working at Domino’s since early this year. He’s doing well and is working as assistant manager. He hopes to attend Grand Canyon University and study multimedia graphic design.
Less than 48 hours after his graduation celebration we were all on a plane to Disney World. It was a great time for all of us. We made many, many memories. As usual for Florida in May/June it was hot and muggy all day. We walked miles every day for four days! Angela became the queen of the FastPass. She did an amazing job keeping us on track each day. We were at a different park each day.
The day we were at Magic Kingdom we stayed late waiting for the fireworks and show. They continued to postpone the show until it began to pouring. Thousands of people began leaving the park all together in the pouring rain. What an adventure for all of us! We enjoyed a beautiful lightning show instead of fireworks that night. By the time we got back to the room we were totally soaked.
After all the busyness of those days at Disney the beach (New Smyrna Beach, FL) was a welcome change. For Angela and I it’s hard to beat sitting and walking on the beach. It was a great chance to watch the kids play and catch up on reading.
It was an awesome trip. This morning at breakfast I asked the kids and Angela if they were glad to be home. The answer, YES! Ah… Colorado is still paradise.
