Even in normal times, 65% of Americans lose sleep over their finances.1
As you know, these are not normal times.
The coronavirus pandemic has upended daily life for most people in this country. It brought a swift and sudden end to the longest-running bull market in history, and while the markets have recovered somewhat in the past few weeks, volatility will likely continue, at least for the short term. And with millions of people working from home or dealing with layoffs, I imagine the percentage of Americans losing sleep over their finances is much higher than 65%.
But here’s the thing. As a financial professional, my job is to help my clients feel confident in their financial future. That’s true even during a pandemic. Especially during a pandemic!
Of course, I have no control over when this pandemic will end or when normalcy will return to the markets. Nobody does. I can’t make anyone’s worries — financial or otherwise — disappear with the snap of my fingers. What I can do, however, is leave no stone unturned in my efforts to address them. To put it another way, if there’s something that’s keeping you awake at night, I want to know about it. Are there concerns that you may have, that I can help alleviate?
Again, I can’t make the stock markets go up or personally fix the economy. But if you have questions or concerns about:
- How the coronavirus might affect your retirement or long-term financial goals,
- How the situation will affect your taxes,
- Paying for healthcare expenses,
- Ensuring care for your loved ones, especially any elderly family members who are most at risk,
- Or anything else, then I want to help.
Here’s what I want you to do:
Take a look at this short confidential questionnaire: www.2ndHalfWealth.com/CQ. I have been in contact with many of you, so if we’ve addressed these questions, there’s nothing to do. However, if we haven’t talked, or maybe something has changed since we last talked, take two minutes to answer the questions that pertain to you.
After reviewing your information, I will do everything in my power to answer your questions, address your concerns, and help you feel confident about the path to your financial goals.
Here’s another reason I’d like you to fill out this questionnaire: sooner or later, but hopefully sooner, all this will be over. Life will go on. A market recovery will happen. It’s important to take steps now that will help you then. It’s important to plan — not just for today’s uncertainty, but for the sunny days that lie ahead.
Stay healthy and safe!
